Common Questions
When do I pay the seller fee?
You never pay a separate invoice. RigBid collects the full amount from the buyer at checkout — winning bid plus buyer premium. The 1.9% seller fee is automatically deducted before your payout is transferred to your bank. You receive the sale price minus 1.9%, with nothing to chase and no surprises.
How and when do I receive payment?
Once the buyer pays and confirms receipt of the equipment, RigBid releases your payout to your connected bank account via Stripe. Stripe typically deposits within 2 business days of release. You set up your bank account once in your seller dashboard — it takes about 5 minutes.
Is the buyer premium negotiable?
No — the 7.5% buyer premium is fixed and applied to all transactions. It's already the lowest in the market. The consistency protects buyers from surprises.
Are there any other fees?
No listing fees, no photo fees, no featured placement fees, no subscription. The only fees are 1.9% to the seller and 7.5% to the buyer, both on successful sales only. Applicable sales tax may apply based on jurisdiction.
What if the buyer doesn't pay?
Non-payment results in immediate account suspension. The seller may relist at no additional charge. Buyers pay through Stripe Checkout at the close of the auction, so payment happens before equipment is released.
